How an intensive course works

1 - What Course
Choosing the right course is crucial. Too few hours will normally end with a failure. On average, the DVSA advise that learner drivers require approximately 45 hours lead by a fully qualified driving instructor and another 20 hours of private practice. As an intensive course is based over a short period of time, 48 hours is the average amount of hours with no extra practice until you are at a safe standard and ready to drive independently.

2 - Payment
When you have chosen your ideal intensive driving course and told us your contact info, you will be prompted to pay. You can choose to pay the course deposit or pay the course off in full. It really does not matter what option you take. The minimum amount is the advertised course deposit amount. The balance must be paid in full no less than 7 days before your confirmed start date. Ask us about a payment plan to help spread the cost.

3 - Theory Test
Everyone in the UK must pass a theory test before the DVSA allow your licence to be used for a driving test. At myintensivecourse.com we can secure an early test date at your closest or preferred centre. You will be enrolled onto our online theory training program. If you fail your theory test, we will book and pay for all other attempts if your training record shows you prepared sufficiently. You can call up for theory advice from one of our instructors.

4 - Start Date
The whole driver training profession is still suffering the long-term delays from covid related lock downs and delays. When prompted, please chose a preferred course start date. We will aim to match your test to the last hour on the last day.*
5 - In Car Training
You must attend all arranged in car training sessions. Any missed sessions reduce your chances of passing and are also non-refundable. Your myintensivecourse.com instructor is not obliged to take you for your driving test if they feel you are not at a safe standard of independent driving.
6 - Fast Track Test
All courses include a fast tracked test. We aim to secure your test booking for the final hour of your course. Should this not be possible we will reserve at least 2 hours of your course and provide the very next test date available. Your course instructor will co-ordinate this with you.
